Cheryl Burke stunned fans when she announced her departure from “Dancing With The Stars” last season. The fan-favorite professional dancer won two mirror ball trophies during her time on the reality series. However, she wasn’t exactly done with the show. Just days before Burke announced her exit from DWTS, head judge Len Goodman also revealed his plans to retire.
Len Goodman’s exit from the judge’s panel seems to leave a spot to fill. Of course, there are already three other Dancing With The Stars judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. So, the show wouldn’t have to replace Len if they didn’t want to. However, many fans are expecting a new judge on the panel next season. Cheryl Burke wanted to be that judge, but she was turned down for the job, per The Sun.

During an interview on Chris Jericho’s podcast, Burke admitted that she asked DWTS execs to consider her for the judge’s opening, or as a co-host. However, she was refused a job. “They are very well aware that I would have loved to do that with the family. However, they do not see a place for me, whether that be at the judges’ table or a possible co-host,” Cheryl Burke revealed. “And that’s fine. They can have me on every season, just not as a pro dancer,” she added.
Burke went on to reveal that she plans to focus on herself following her Dancing With The Stars exit. “I am also in a period of my life where I am newly divorced and wanting to work on me and learn again and evolve,” she said. “I have to take a step back and I feel I need to grow, whether that is in the family that is not up to me when it comes to Dancing With The Stars.”

Recently, Burke’s ex-husband, actor Matthew Lawrence, confirmed his relationship with TLC singer Chilli. The two are reportedly getting a bit serious. “I’ve never seen her this in love. She is glowing. They are really cute together,” Chilli’s rep told Page Six about the budding romance.
Meanwhile, Cheryl Burke says she’s happily single and living her life following her divorce and her Dancing With The Stars departure. However, fans are hoping that they see her dance again at some point in the future.
