At TV Dispatch, our mission is simple: give TV fans accurate, timely, and engaging coverage of the shows, stars, and stories they care about. To do that well, we hold ourselves to a clear set of editorial standards.
How we source our stories
Many of our stories begin with something happening in public — a clip, a post, an announcement, or a moment from a show. When we cover it, we aim to:
- Verify what’s actually shown or stated before reporting it as fact
- Clearly distinguish between confirmed information and speculation or rumor
- Cite where information comes from, whether that’s an official announcement, a network statement, or a publicly posted video
- Add context that helps readers understand why a story matters, not just what happened
Accuracy first
We would rather be right than first. If details of a story are unconfirmed, we say so. If a claim later turns out to be false or incomplete, we correct it — see our Corrections Policy for how we handle that.
Independence
Our editorial coverage is not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or outside parties. Coverage decisions are made by our editorial team based on what we believe is relevant and interesting to our readers.
Respect for subjects
We cover real people, and we aim to do so fairly. We avoid sensationalizing personal hardship, and we do not publish unverified claims about private individuals without appropriate context.
