The Traitors have been doing an excellent job of concealing themselves so far on the show’s Season 5 variation “New Blood,” which features civilians playing the murder mystery game instead of celebrities, reality stars, and influencers. The three Traitors, Katie, Tomica, and Joe were flying high until this week, when Victor seemed to have their number.
This week, Victor told anyone who would listen that he knew deep down that Tomica was a Traitor. He says that her insistence on trying to give people fruit during the murder in plain sight proved too be too suspicious to ignore. He also says that he believes Joe is not one of The Faithful due to his own fruit antics before the creepy funeral murder of Niyyah.
Victor Has Clocked Tomica and Joe As Traitors
Many, like Morgan, seemed to grow tired of Victor going on and on about “fruit-gate,” but others such as Wyatt believed Victor’s theory. However, because of the Traitors maneuvering and suspicion on others, it was Victor who was voted to be banished. But that’s not the end of the story.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger, which revealed that someone had won a power to pardon Victor, saving him from banishment and leaving him in the game to continue to target Tomica and Joe. Of course, this is the last thing that The Traitors want. Although, the trio may have other problems as well.
During the roundtable, Victor revealed that Tomica had mentioned Katie’s name during their private conversation. Tomica claimed that she meant to say Kristy’s name. However, Katie didn’t seem pleased about the situation, and ultimately voted for her fellow Traitor to be banished.
Will Someone Save Victor With The Power Of Pardon on Traitors: New Blood?
It remains to be seen if Victor will be saved, but if he is, he might the only Faithful left in the game that has any clue what’s going on, and is willingly to risk his own game to eliminate The Traitors. It all depends on which member of the group earned the power. If it’s Joe or Tomica, Victor is likely going home.
However, someone like Abby L. or Kristy could decide to keep him around, if only to remain a shield for their own games. Whether or not Victor stays, he’s left his mark on the game. Calling out Joe and Tomica, and even mentioning Katie has proven that there is doubt surrounding the Traitors and that they might not being a cunning as they originally believed.
Why Tomica May Be The First Traitor To Be Banished
When and if a Traitor finally goes home, it might actually be Tomica who says goodbye first due to Victor’s observation skills and willingness to call her out so boldly.
The mystery surrounding the power makes Victor’s fate even more interesting. Whoever earned the ability to pardon him now has the power to completely change the direction of the game. Saving Victor could mean keeping one of the few Faithful actively suspicious of the Traitors alive, while banishing him would remove a major threat to the Traitors games.
What Are Fans Saying About Tomica’s Messy Game Play?
Social media was buzzing after this week’s episode, and viewers didn’t hold back with their opinions. “Tomica really f—-d up. She’s telling on herself and it was bad gameplay to say Katie’s name,” one person wrote via X. “They really should’ve just killed victor and say the traitors were trying to frame Tomica,” said another.
“The Traitors is a social game. So, if you not likeable, nobody is going to listen to you,” a third person chimed in. “I can’t stand Victor no matter how right he is about Tomica. Like he’s so annoying plus this game is called The Traitors not The Faithful like ofc i want the Traitors to go far and win,” a fourth comment read.
Only time will tell if The Traitors will continue to run the game, or if anyone besides Victor will realize that Joe, Tomica, and Katie are the ones picking off The Faithful night after night.
The Traitors: New Blood airs Thursday nights at 8 pm on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
