Rob Kardashian once appeared with his sisters and mother on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. However, in the years since the family made their reality TV debut, the only Kardashian man has taken a major step back from the spotlight. Now, his mother, Kris Jenner, is allegedly pushing him to return to the small screen, and she’s reportedly not taking no for an answer.
According to In Touch, Kris and the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have made it clear that they’re tired of carrying the workload for Rob. Now, they want him to start pulling his weight, which likely means returning to the show and the spotlight that he has made clear he doesn’t want on him.
Kris Jenner Pushing Rob Kardashian To Return To The Spotlight
“Kris is laying down the law. The free gravy train is over,” an insider said of the situation. “They were all raised to value hard work, so the fact that Rob has essentially opted out of working does not sit well with any of them,” the source continued. “For one thing, it’s unfair that they all have to work their butts off practically 24/7 and he just gets to coast.”
Rob left the family’s reality show back in 2016. However, he has made a few rare cameos on air since then. Since exiting the series, he’s been busy raising his daughter, Dream, 9, whom he shares with former girlfriend Blac Chyna. In 2025, Rob opened up a bit during a telephone call on sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast.
During the interview, Rob admitted that he is focused on his happiness and chose to have “peace” in his life instead of filming the show and dealing with any possibly negative impact it may have on his life.
‘There’s No Reason For Him To Stay In Hiding’
In the past, it was revealed that Rob didn’t feel comfortable filming due to mental health issues, and his physical appearance after he gained weight. However, sources say that is simply not the case anymore.
“It was one thing when he was struggling with his mental health,” the source stated. “He needed to take a step back, but he’s doing great now, there’s no reason for him to stay in hiding any longer.”
As for Kris, she reportedly wants Rob back to film for the family’s show as well as working to obtain more brand deals and launch his own products. He previously launched his own brand of socks, Arthur George, but with the rest of his siblings pushing clothing, make up, vitamins, alcohol, and more, he’s got a long way to go if he’s to get to that level.
As for Rob’s public persona, he was recently photographed during an outing to celebrate his sister Kim Kardashian‘s 46th birthday in October. He smiled and looked to be enjoying himself during the event. Even Blac Chyna admitted that the photos of him were “fire” during a social media live feed.
Kardashian Filed New Trademarks That Hint At Career Comeback
Meanwhile, it does seem that Rob Kardashian could be poised for a Hollywood comeback. The Sun reports that he recently filed trademarks to begin using his name publicly again. The filing didn’t share too many details but did reveal a bit of information about what future plans may be.
“advertising services, namely, promoting the brands, goods and services of others” as well as “endorsement services, namely, promoting the goods and services of others,” were cited as reasons for the filing.
What Do Fans Think About Rob’s Potential Return?
Fans are interested to see what the future holds for Rob Kardashian, and if he will, in fact, begin to film more scenes for the family’s reality series in the future, and they didn’t hesitate to share their opinions online.
“He’s smart to have kept his child away from that life. She’s trying to force him now because the rest of them are so boring and predictable,” one person commented. “Translation…… The show is tanking and they need some fresh drama to keep it going,” another person stated. “I’d love to see Rob back,” a third person chimed in.
Whether Kris Jenner gets her way remains to be seen, but Rob Kardashian has spent nearly a decade building a life outside the reality TV spotlight. While his family may believe it’s time for him to step back in front of the cameras, Rob has made it clear that his peace and happiness come first. If he does make a comeback, it will be interesting to see whether he’s doing it on his own terms or finally giving in to his mother’s demands.
